Role Overview
The Communications Officer plays a pivotal role in telling our story to the world. You will craft compelling narratives, curate content for a range of platforms, and ensure that our mission and impact reach partners, smallholder farmers and the wider community.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and edit reports, case studies and success stories that highlight project impacts.
- Develop engaging social media content and coordinate media outreach.
- Support internal and external communications to ensure consistent messaging across teams.
- Collaborate with program staff to gather information and visual assets.
- Maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders through timely updates and newsletters.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing or a related field.
- At least two years of professional communications experience.
- Fluency in English and Amharic with exceptional writing and editing skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other communications tools.
- Familiarity with Ethiopia’s agricultural sector and ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences.
