Role Overview
The Monitoring, Evaluation, Research & Learning (MERL) Analyst will develop robust frameworks and tools that capture the impact of our programs. You will collect, analyse and interpret data to generate actionable insights and promote a culture of learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks aligned with project objectives.
- Lead data collection, management and analysis using quantitative and qualitative methods.
- Prepare timely reports and dashboards to inform programmatic decisions.
- Facilitate learning sessions and knowledge-sharing events to disseminate findings.
- Build capacity of staff and partners on MERL concepts and tools.
- Engage stakeholders to ensure that evidence informs program design and policy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, social sciences, development studies or a related field.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in monitoring, evaluation or research.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Excel and SPSS.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Amharic.
- Familiarity with MERL frameworks, logframes and theory of change models.
