Role Overview
The Senior Access to Finance Manager will spearhead initiatives that connect smallholder farmers to affordable financial services. You will design and coordinate programs that foster financial inclusion, develop innovative financial products and build partnerships with financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, coordination and implementation of access‑to‑finance programs.
- Develop and refine financial services and products tailored to the needs of smallholder farmers.
- Establish partnerships with banks, microfinance institutions and other finance providers.
- Provide capacity building and training on financial literacy and business planning.
- Monitor and evaluate program performance, ensuring gender integration and inclusivity.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements and prepare regular reports.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in agribusiness, agronomy, business administration, horticulture or a related discipline.
- Minimum of five years of professional experience in financial inclusion or market systems development.
- Strong understanding of market systems and access‑to‑finance approaches.
- Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent networking and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to conduct market assessments and design evidence‑based interventions.
- Experience managing complex projects and budgets.
