Role Overview
The Senior Agronomist will lead our agronomic research and extension activities. You will design and implement sustainable farming practices that improve soil health, crop productivity and resilience, while providing technical support to farmers and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and development on soil health, fertility management and pest control.
- Establish field trials and demonstration plots to test innovative agronomic practices.
- Provide technical advice and training to farmers and agribusinesses.
- Monitor and evaluate agronomic interventions and document results.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and contribute to knowledge sharing.
- Manage data collection, analysis and reporting for agronomy activities.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in agronomy, soil science, horticulture or a related field.
- At least five years of experience in agronomic research or extension.
- Deep knowledge of soil health, fertility management, pest and disease management.
- Experience collecting and analysing agricultural data.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
